Muffin came into my life around the blizzard of "93." I worked at an answering service, as did my daughter, Brandy. One saturday I went by the service and a co-worker had brought "Muffin" to Brandy. One look at that little fur ball and I knew then that she would be mine. She was so small, fit right in the palm of my hand, and melted my heart she did. I said, "Oh, what a little pudge-muffin," and she climbed on my shoulders and took her little face and rubbed mine. It was then I looked at Brandy and said, "you no longer have a cat".

She is a calico and almost 14 years old. What a joy Muffin has been to me. I have gone through a lot through the years and Muffin has always been there for me. People say animals are dumb, but how wrong they are, She is sooo smart, as if she knows exactly what you are saying to her, knows what your feelings are and so devoted.

She has had this furry mouse that she'll carry around, talking to it, and then she'll drop it and start cleaning it like a baby. After all of that she'll sit on it as if she is protecting her "baby".

Each day, around 6 pm, is supper time and if it goes past 6 she will let you know in a big way. This cat loves popcorn, peanuts, and wants to try anything that I happen to be eating.

There is so much I could write about her that would keep you in stitches and melt your heart. She is the best animal friend anyone could ever hope for and I pray that she will be with me for years to come.

If anyone ever has had the chance to experience the love and devotion of an animal like I have they are truly blessed.

Cats Are Wonderful Friends
