Sheer Music presents 'The Sheer Independence Leaders of the New School Tour'
Featuring KARMA and LOVE JONES
After a very successful 4-date acoustic tour in December 2006, Sheer Music is excited to announce that South Africa's celebrated pop chanteuse KARMA will be back in the country in February for a full-band 12-date SA tour.
KARMA, now based in the United States and currently working on their new album with well-known producer John Thomas (who has also worked with Lauryn Hill, P Diddy, Creed, Jewel, Jamie Foxx and Prince to name just a few), arrives in South Africa on 1 February to head-line the Sheer Independence Leaders of the New School Tour, set to kick off on Friday 2 February.
The band will be playing songs from their album Don't Walk, Fly, some Henry Ate classics and the material from the new album, which has never been heard by the South African audience. KARMA has been extremely busy in the last 2 years. Since being based in the US, the band has head-lined the Seattle Music Festival, performed at the world famous BB Kings, Mulcahys and Luna Lounge in New York, The Viper Room, On the Rox, The Gig and The Mint in Los Angeles, shared the stage with G-Love & Special Sauce, The Gin Blossoms, Drive Blind, Candle Box, Michael Glabicki (lead-singer of Rusted Root) and Marky Ramone of the Ramones, enjoyed sold-out performances in London and South Africa and performed at the International Pop Overthrow Music Festival in New York.
The Leaders of the New School Tour, presented by Sheer Music, will also feature another SA favourite. The very popular pop n rock-roll bandLOVE JONES, will join KARMA on tour. LOVE JONES, who is enjoying extensive media attention, has had their singles Kicks, Take this advice and A little easier hit the number 1 spot on various radio stations, is quickly becoming a favourite amongst music industry insiders and fans alike and will be back in the recording studio during the first week of February to record 2 new singles with platinum selling urban artists, Mzambiya and Wakes.
