I didn’t expect much from the 3-song cd when I popped it in my cd player. But these guys have some catchy hooks and there is potential there. I am talking about the New Jersey rock band "Full Out Freak". The playing is solid and the hooks are fairly strong, but the band could benefit from a heavy handed producer. The songs need that extra “production trick” push and with that I don’t see why you couldn’t hear them on your local modern rock station. Just think Fuel, Switchfoot, Butch Walker etc. and you pretty much cover the sound of Full Out Freak. The music to my ears is somewhat disposable, but I don’t see a reason why these guys shouldn’t be playing sold out shows to screaming teenage girls.
